The TecIntelli Bot is the web crawler from TecIntelli.
Many of the services we offer, our Smart Information Services, work like an intelligent search. We specifically analyze data from various sources, prepare the results, and integrate data to arrive at new content. One of these data sources is also websites. These are automatically crawled and indexed by us - if we are allowed to do so.
When the TecIntelli bot visits a website, it first tries to get permission to crawl it. To do this, it retrieves the robots.txt file if possible. Websites without a robots.txt file are generally crawled and indexed as needed. However, if you use a robots.txt file for your website, we will of course adhere to its specifications. This means, among other things, that we will not crawl your website or explicitly designated parts of it if we are not included in the list of allowed crawlers. However, for some of our projects and Smart Information Services, it makes sense to crawl your website as well. We will then contact you directly.
Identification of the TecIntelli bot by user agent string
The TecIntelli bot simulates a user visiting your website, so to speak. You can identify him in the request via User-Agent-String: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; TecIntelliBot/1.0; +http://www.tecintelli.de/bot/)
